Services

FOR EVERYONE ATTENDING OUR DAY CENTRE THE FOLLOWING SUPPORT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE

Activities

Various activities take place within the centre including bingo, cards, board games, art and craft, sing a longs etc.

Bathing

Assisted bathing is offered, with the help of trained staff and our new Parker bath.

Beauty consultant

Thursday’s only, If there is a special occasion coming up or if you just fancy a pamper, come and visit our fully qualified Beauty Consultant, who offers a variety of different services including manicures, pedicures, facials and makeover’s.

Caring for Carer’s
Coffee morning

Takes place every Tuesday morning 10am – 11am, if you look after a friend or family member at home, and would like to talk to others in the same situation, come and join us for a coffee and a chat. We may be able to offer other assistance or help.

Chiropody

Appointments can be made with our trained Chiropodist through our friendly reception staff. (Available Monday’s only).

Foot care

Appointments can be made with our trained Chiropodist through our friendly reception staff. (Available Tuesday’s only).

Hairdressing

We have a fully equipped hairdressing salon with fully trained and motivated staff to cater for ladies and gentleman

Hearing Clinic

This service is offered daily by our trained staff. Hi-Kent clinic run a clinic every 3 months.

Hi Kent

Hi Kent hold a hearing clinic every Tuesday from 10am – 12pm, offering advice, change of tubing and batteries.

Holidays

These are arranged on an annual basis for either a full week or 4/5 day breaks depending on the number of people travelling.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is offered on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Lunch

A nutritious hot meal is served at 12 noon. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice. We ask that all meals are booked before 10:30 am on the day required.

Minibus

We have two fully equipped minibuses that collect people from their own homes. This starts from 9:00 am onwards and we will take you home leaving Age concern at approximately 2:30 pm. One way transport is available.

Outings

These are arranged throughout the year to various places. We generally use Thursdays each week as outing days. (These trips are planned in advance).

Seated Exercise

An active seated exercise programme takes place every Monday and Wednesday 10.30 -11.30 with our fully trained staff.

Toenail cutting

Appointments can be made through our reception team, this services is provided by our trained care team (Available Thursday’s only)

OUR SHOP

We have a new shop in the Centre where we sell Cards, Gifts, and Sweets, Wrapping paper, a small selection of Biscuits, Knitting Wool, Crisps, Stationery, Tights and Stockings etc.; all at reasonable prices.

We also have nearly new clothes rails in the Centre where people may purchase good clothing at a very modest price. Good clothing and Bric-a-brac is always needed.

There is a full snacks and drinks menu.
